By exploring the different dimensions of a meaningful life, the tool helps you recognize what is working well, identify areas that may need greater attention to be able to make more conscious choices about the life you are living.

STEP BACK. SEE THE WHOLE.

A meaningful life begins with self-awareness

Ambitious individuals are often focused on what comes next: the next responsibility, achievement or career milestone. But progress without reflection can gradually create distance between professional ambition and personal meaning.

The Meaningful Life Wheel helps turn reflection into clarity, and clarity into intentional action.

Rate your life’s dimensions from 1 to 10

The Meaningful Life Wheel consists of 12 dimensions across four categories, each representing an important aspect of a meaningful life. Participants assess how much each dimension has contributed to their sense of meaning in their life and everyday experience during the recent period, using a scale from 1 to 10.

Understanding the scale

Rate each area based on how strongly you experience it in your life right now. There are no right or wrong scores, use your first instinct.

10 · Very strong

This area feels fully present and strongly reflected in the way you live.

7–9 · Strong

This area is an active and meaningful part of your life.

4–6 · Moderate

This area is present, but not as much as you would like.

1–3 · Low

This area is mostly missing or receives little attention in your life.

Example:

A score of 3 does not mean you are doing badly. It simply means that this area is currently not very present in your life and may be worth reflecting on.

AN EXAMPLE PROFILE

See what your ‘Meaningful Life Profile’ looks like

After completing the 12 statements, your responses are plotted across the four areas of Purpose, Personal Growth, Belonging and Guidance. The points are connected to create your personal Meaningful Life Profile.

The shape offers a snapshot of your life at this moment. Areas extending further from the centre represent higher scores, while areas closer to the centre may invite greater attention or reflection.

This example shows someone with a strong sense of purpose and a clear desire to learn and make a difference. At the same time, the profile suggests that physical health, reflection, friendships and asking for support may currently receive less attention.

The aim is not to create a perfectly balanced wheel. It is to make patterns and tensions visible, and provide a meaningful starting point for reflection and conversation.
